Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 1, 2026
At Parallax Sports, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website, applications, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a Parallax Sports account, we collect your email address, an optional display name, and a hashed copy of your password. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth (passwords are hashed with bcrypt; we never see them in plaintext). If you subscribe to our $1/month premium plan, billing is processed by Stripe — your credit card number, billing address, and CVV are sent directly to Stripe over TLS and never touch our servers. We store only the Stripe customer and subscription IDs Stripe returns.
Comments You Post
If you post a comment, the body of that comment, your user ID, the article or video it attaches to, and a timestamp are stored in our database and displayed publicly alongside your display name. You can delete your own comments at any time. Material defamation or harassment may be removed by moderators with a permanent record kept for legal-compliance purposes.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including the pages you visit, the articles you read, the videos you watch, the time and duration of your sessions, your referring URL, and your general geographic location derived from your IP address. This data helps us understand how our audience engages with our content and improve the Service accordingly.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your browsing activity, remember your preferences, and deliver a personalized experience. For detailed information about the cookies we use, please refer to our Cookie Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: (a) provide, maintain, and improve the Service; (b) personalize your experience, including recommending content based on your reading history and preferences; (c) communicate with you about your account, including service announcements and editorial newsletters you have opted into; (d) analyze usage trends and measure the effectiveness of our content and features; (e) detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and technical problems; and (f) comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Information Sharing
Parallax Sports does not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with: (a) service providers who assist us in operating the Service, such as hosting providers, email delivery services, analytics platforms, and payment processors, subject to confidentiality obligations; (b) law enforcement or governmental agencies when required by law, regulation, or legal process; (c) other parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy; and (d) other users, but only information you have chosen to make public through your profile or community participation.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, regular security audits, access controls, and employee training on data protection practices. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information: the right to access the personal data we hold about you; the right to request correction of inaccurate data; the right to request deletion of your data; the right to restrict or object to processing of your data; the right to data portability; and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at business@parallaxsports.net. We will respond to your request within 30 days, or within the timeframe required by applicable law.
6. For Residents of the European Economic Area (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: (a) your consent, where applicable; (b) the performance of our contract with you when providing the Service; (c) our legitimate interests in operating, improving, and securing the Service, provided these interests do not override your data protection rights; and (d) compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated. Our data protection contact can be reached at business@parallaxsports.net.
7. For California Residents (CCPA)

8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at business@parallaxsports.net.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where required by law, provide you with notice through the Service or via email. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
